Our High Performance Program consists of all the athletes that train throughout the year. We have Fall, Winter and Spring programs as well as Florida training camps and Winter ski camps. Once a paddler has decided that this is a sport that they would like to excel in, they will be welcomed into the full year program, this usually takes place during Bantam (13-14 yrs old).
To accomodate school, practices are held in early morning and late afternoon during the week as well as Saturday mornings. The paddlers stay on the water until late Fall and then focus on skiing, running and weights throughout the winter
The coaches will speak to each paddler and recommend whether or not they are ready for the full year program.
Our High Performance Program is headed by Mike Kerrivan and has produced many National Team members. In addition, Cheema is a National Training Centre, headed by Csom Latorovski. Many of our Olympic Paddlers train at Cheema which is a great motivator for our younger athletes!

This weekend our Coaches and athletes will resume training at Cheema. Thanks again to the Keevill's and Maskwa for sharing their lakefront during the last six weeks. With the boathouse project moving along on schedule we will be fully operational with a brand new boathouse and renovated Clubhouse to greet the Summer Program. Thanks to our Project Team and all those who donated for making this happen.
